I have my completion certificate and have checked the insolvency register and my name is no longer on there. The credit check sites are still showing poor credit. What do I need to do

Hi,

Your IVA will remain on your credit record for six years, you need to contact any creditors who are still defaulting you, enclose a copy of your completion letter and tell them to remove any defaults back to the date of IVA acceptance.

Congratulations on getting your CC, time to just take it all in that your are now debt free. Once 6 years are up it is then time to check, chase and get your financial records straight. Until then I would just not worry about it until then.
Last Payment made 04/12/14. Completion Certificate 25/7/15. IVA company GT. No Issues

To clarify its 6 years from the start of your iva. Whilst you wait for that continue living within ylur means running a bank account, mobile phone contract etc and this will all support your credit repair in the end.

When did you get your completion letter? It may be that the credit reference agencies are a bit slow on updating.

It was issued on the 28th of August so not that long ago really. I am just a bit anxious to start building up my credit rating.

Just keep checking and make sure that any defaults are dated back until the start of the IVA.
