Last year I too began getting knocked back for monthly repayments on insurance.....but then even my 23 year old Son who earns a good monthly sum, works for a bank, only has one loan and a 100% credit record couldn't even get a phone contract from Orange......so a sign of the times I suppose.
I came into this world with nothing and still have most of it left!
Some add a third question along the lines of "or have you come to an arrangement with your creditors", to which the answer is yes, but if they only ask about bankruptcy or CCJ's then it’s right to say no.
Marcus, did the Co-Op give you a reason why they won't let you pay monthly?

I couldn't pay monthly when I first switched to the Co-op but I was lucky as my uncle lent me the money and the next year they let me switch to installments. I made the change on the phone so maybe if I'd phoned and asked I would have been able to do it in the first year.

some also have in the small print that nobody reads that the insurance may be void if you enter into an agreement with creditors.
