Thank you Melanie. That has set my mind at rest. I was a little panicky that it was going to get in a mess before we even signed anything. Your help and advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi Melanie, just wanted to say thank you for the reassuring phone call earlier tonight. I really appreciate all the help and agree with everyone who say you are such a lovely lady. Thanks again and await the proposals.

Hi, I have had an email from Claire today advising our creditors meeting is set for 26th August. Can't believe its so soon now everything seems to have moved really quickly over the pas couple of weeks! Excited and scared all at the same time. Just hope we are one of the lucky ones!

I hope not, my husband was terrible - he must have been the worst worrying client Melanie has had. J

He was very calm and patient actually J - because ultimately he had faith and knew that he was putting the best offer on the table. Most of his worrying was actually about what pain he felt he had caused you and your son! But of course you know your hubby always thinks of others before himself.

How very kind Melanie - I am going to tell him what you have said. Yes you are right - in nearly 27 years he has always put other people before himself and I would not change one bit of him J

Just a quick question. What would happen if you needed to get a new car during the iva?

Good luck for the 26th newtoallthis.

If you need a new car, then you will have to speak to your IP about a possible payment break to fund another car.

Thank you kallis. I don't need a new car at the moment, mine is perfectly ok. I was just curious as to what would happen.

There would potentially be several options, as Jan says payment break being one, perhaps a family member could fund this for you, or possibly you could take out finance - but I think that the latter option would be quite difficult.
