I have been waiting for a year now to get my completion certificate from Grant Thornton and as of yet i still have nothing?

I have called them countelss times and i find they have been no help at all and i get that they have a back log. I appreciate they are busy but thier backlog is causing me issues im very sure if i had a payment backlog they would soon have been chasing me.

has anyone else had this issue?

Hi grace - there is a dedicated email address for all enquiries relating to closures:

iva.closures@uk.gt.com.

I would use this one and if no reply received within a week contact karol on:

ivacustomerservices@uk.gt.com and ensure that "IVA Forum" is all that is entered in the subject line of the email.

This is a long time to wait. Were you with another IP firm which was taken over by GT?

Yes i was originally with Blair Endersby and it was passed just as i was finishing my IVA. I have had an email back form them and its just says my case has exceeded the time limit and that they have to still distubute funds which i find ridculous that its taken a year for them to do this? When i phone them previously i was told theyw were waiting for some creditors to put thier claims in? i was a bit confused by this considering they had 5 years to do this? I have found the company very unhelpful and i keep getting told i will be discharged soon but nothing happens?

I think that they are having problems with the old cases taken over from that firm, but if you contact Karol who is the GT representative on the forum, she can probably look into this for you with a view to speeding things up.

Seems odd that your previous IP took almost 5 years to get creditor claims agreed - does this mean that no funds have yet been paid to creditors?

Grace.h welcome to the forum, It's unbelievable not to have received a completion certificate after a year, I don't feel so bad now waiting for mine in the ninth month.

I have tried all avenues of complaint without success, so please don't recommend Karol, closures or customer services to me.

Does anyone know who senior management are as i wish to write to them, failing this my only option left will be to contact the tabloids!!!

Regards David.

Hi Grace - I answered above - email the closures team first and then karol if no response.

Wow, you've certainly changed your tune. Until now you've been happy to tell other people who have been complaining to relax and wait, safe in the knowledge that a certificate will turn up eventually!

Thankyou Alderson for your reply, i have had a lot of faith in GT untill now.

Recently it was announced my completion certificate would arrive by 28/5 after fund distribution a week before.

On phoning i was told they had no idea why i didn't have it, i suggested i phone back a week later, GT said it would be pushed up the chain of command, that i should get back to them if i had no response. This is why i'm becoming less tolerant of the situation and am willing to take it further untill i rerceive my cc.
