Please make sure that you are happy with your I & E before you sign it. If you don't agree with something talk to your IP. If you're not happy with something at the beginning chances are you'll struggle later on x

Cheers Skippy, I'm going through it now, I don't want to phone my IP tomorrow and seem like i'm complaining and don't want to pay.

When I went into my IVA I questioned a few things and was told not to worry about them. I really wish I'd been firmer and insisted they were changed as my IVA failed after 4 months as I couldn't afford it.

Don't worry about sounding like you're complaining - this is such an important decision for you that will effect the rest of your life so you need to make sure you're happy. Any decent IP will understand this, and would rather you questioned things now than struggle a few months down the line x

It is extremely important to get the expenditure correct - as far too many people seem to enter into IVAs and DMPs without taking account of contingent or unexpected items. You guys do have to live through this, and it is important to ensure that you are left with enough money each month to actually have a life as well.

we dont have anything for entertainment, would have been handy with 3 children if we had. Make sure you include everything, we didnt know about allowing for dental treatment or school dinners, which cost us £26.50 per week. you always remember other things after the event but as we were told it is too late after the iva is accepted and they wont do anything about it.
Iva finished !

Take a long deep breath and try and put down every conceivable possible espense that you incur or might incur - this will enable your IP to check same against the CCCS/CFS guidelines and discuss with you.

Locko - you should not accept changes that your IP suggested especially as it is hurting you now. Who is your IP?

I would suggest you propose a variation not withstanding your IVA has only been running for 7 months!

I agree that you need to speak to your IP to see if you can get your payments lowered.

If you continue to struggle then there may come a time when you can't afford the payments and your IVA could possibly fail.

if somebody can point me in the direction would appreciate it.
i dont want to rock the boat as such but to get an idea what i can put down at first reveiw at end of year 1

Payplan, they are ok but were really strict from the start re clothing allowance and food. I am scared to rock the boat but I dont want the IVA to fail either.

I'm surprised at Payplan as we are with them and have had no problems either with the IVA or with the I&E.
