I am living in the USA, I moved here 2.5 years ago. I have debts of approx 21,000 with 3 credit card companies and can no longer meet the 600 pounds a month due. What can I do?

Hi, Have you tried speaking to a couple of professionals - www.iva.com is a good place to find someone to speak to. I'm not sure on the rules about living abroad and proposing an iva but I'm sure someone will have an answer if you stick around.

You can propose an IVA from abroad as long as you haven't been out of the country for more than three years so the poster is ok on that score.

Hi Joanna - welcome to the forum. We have tried responding to your enquiry with us but your email seems to bounce back. My colleague has left you a message and will chat through everything with you once you get back to her.

You are within timescales so subject to details of your circumstances an IVA may well be a viable option for you.

Hi Joanne, I have left a message on your mobile with my contact details, and did receive your initial email, however I am unable to respond back to you by email as the messages keep getting 'bounced back'
If you could email me a date and time for me to give you a ring, we can chat further
Look forward to speaking with you, Melanie
