Ive just read something which concerns me on the site, about your bank account being 'frozen' when you go bankruptcy.
I opened a new account because my old one was with one of my creditors. The new one that I opened is a basic account with only a cash card and no overdraft facility ( because of my credit rating). Will i not be able to keep this account if I file for bankrupcy?

That will be down to the decision of your bank Guiness. It might be wise to check with them to see what their policy is in this regard before you petition.

Just wanted to thank everyone for their help.

The IVA has gone so far now I feel it would be hard to start again with another company. I think I will give the IVA a go and see how I manage with bk being another possiblity. Will let you all know how I get on.
