Hi Lem,

I needed a new battery last year and had forgotten how much they cost!

Negative equity sucks too. I'm in the same position but worst of all I've spent £30k on the house too.

Have you given your new bank details to the tax office for your award, that would be the easiest way of getting a copy of your tax credit award notification.

Are you absolutely sure you need a pension statement as you work in the NHS? I'm in the teacher pension and they (Mel's team) seem happy enough with my detailed pay slips.

Have you checked your credit report on line? CreditExpert (Experian) are offering a free trial so as long as you cancel before the end of 30 days you can see what your creditors have put on your credit file. Capital One, who have been okay since we told them about our IVA plans, have put a default on me but have not called us once. I had one letter and that's it.
1st call 3rd Nov 2010.
Creditors meeting 21st Feb 2011.
IVA approved 22nd Feb 2011.
Will all be over 21st Feb 2016.

You can also use Annual Credit report to check your credit files and that is free.

I wouldn't bother checking now though as there will be loads of defaults on there.

I'm surprised you don't get annual statements for your pension though lem. I have a public sector pension and do get an update every year.

I agree it's better to have everything right rather than rush things, and with Mel and her team you're in very good hands.

Thought I'd give the annual credit check a try as it's free but there is a one off fee of £5.00 for the set up so I'll leave it for now.

All the best for your phone call with Mel later Lem. xx

Lesley please dont look just yet, wait until your IVA has concluded, trust me on that one, each month Im watching good credit dropping off leaving only my satisfied defaults which is upsetting BUT next year the defaults ( post IVA ) should start to drop off as well. fingers x.

I was only going to do it Phil as it was free but I wouldn't pay for it as I know it's going to look dire.

Hope yours looks better very soon x

I don't remember having to pay anything for it - must have altered since I first signed up to it.
