I've not come across them. They sound more like a packager rather than a direct IP firm. Find out who will be acting for you if you do decide to go ahead with the IVA, and whether they have their own insolvency practitioners in-house or if they intend to refer you on.
Hi rugbygirl1969, thats makes life easier if their IPs are in house as they are all part of the same company so should all be up to speed on your case at the same time. Do however make sure you are completely comfortable with what you have been told by them and how they have handled your case already. You should have a realisitc idea of what your payments are liklely to be from now and you should have a realistic budget which provides for all your normal living costs sufficiently.
If you are happy and confident to move forward then best of luck with your IVA proposal and roll on your creditors meeting day! We look forward to reading how you get on along they way.

That's interesting, as a search of the Insolvency Register on "Find an IP" does not reveal this company or its holding company as having in-house IPs. Do any of the other professional posters know which firm they are linked to?
It's not too late to change your company if you're not totally happy.

There should be nothing to worry about so long as you feel that you are getting the best advice. But do be sure that you are dealing with a firm that does have in-house IPs - as searches against the trading style you mention would indicate that they don't - and may well be merely a referring company.
No harm in using a referring company either - there are many good providers out there who provide an excellent service - but a lot of people may prefer to get advice from the horse's mouth rather than second hand.
Have they done any work for you yet - like put together an IVA proposal? If not, what justification did they give you for handing over this money, and is it refundable if you change your mind or the IVA is not accepted?
Hi
The firm is Blair Endersby (part of Paymex Group) and the insolvency practitioner is Antoinette Thorpe – you should ascertain if the £250 paid is the first contribution towards your IVA.

Although we've seen the odd complaint about them in recent months this may not be representative considering the number of people they deal with. They are quite a large firm in the industry.
They have a presence on the forum here and you can find them in the experts section.
