Hi lacc and welcome to the forum

You could declare yourself bankrupt as a student, and this is unlikely to affect you tremendously unless you have debts with the Student Loans company which cannot be discharged under such proceedings. You will need to start repaying these when your future earnings reach the required threshold.

How would it affect my student income, say loans and bursaries?

These monies are paid to you to fund your education, but you will not be allowed to take out any more loans whilst you are bankrupt.
