How will an IVA effect my credit rating?

You can still go for a mortgage but it would not be through a main bank you would probably need to go through a mortgage broker and it would be on a sub prime basis with a higher rate. Also the payment would not be able to impair the IVA payment or it is likely to fail

Your credit rating would probably have been pants anyway, hence having to get an IVA, so I wouldn't worry too much!!!! After your 5/6 years is up, it'll start getting better, so look forward to the future debt free!
