Good for you! They probably won't be expecting you to follow it up.

Give 'em hell!!!

A lot of my clients tell me that a great way to get rid of unwanted callers of this nature, and I obviously cannot condone this, is to inform the caller that you have a pot on the stove and would they mind holding for a moment?

If you were to then go back to the phone 20 minutes later, having been distracted by Coronation Street for example, it seems to be the norm that they will not be there anymore.

Amazing really.

Go get 'em Chris!

When I had a similar problem with Littlewoods I spoke to the OR and they told me to send a copy of the BR notice myself - I never heard from Littlewoods again!

I dealt with Tesco by talking over him, quoting as much BR info as I could remember and generally being a pain in the bum - I didn't hear from them again either!

Just reading your thread, I didn,t realise how horrible people can be, I wonder if they get a kick out of it, they need to think because one day they might be in the same situtation as we all are. If your need any support I live in Sunderland I have a large wok!! but no rolling pin Hope you get the call today if not they'll have some excuse. Just started the process of BR we are using Paul Johns as I admit I do need my hand holding through the process as my husband works away and he'll take a little of the presure off me, I'm trying not to let the stress affect me during the day at work, just worried if the creditors start ringing work as walls have ears!

thanks again, everyone. I'm going to phone them later this afternoon, give them enough rope 'cos I know they won't phone me, looks worse on them if they have still not rang after 48hrs let alone 24!!!
Ann, thanks, try not to worry, it really isn't as bad as you may imagine. Paul will get you sorted, good luck with it all,
It's nice to be back......

Well, the call hasn't even been listened to!! [:(!] Am I surprised??? Definately not!!!! When I rang and spoke to a supervisor I was told that apparently they allow themselves 48hrs to follow up on complaints and THEN they listen to the call......contradictory to what the other supervisor stated on the recorded call with her.....
Anyhow, I am now being dealt with by customer service manager John....who will 'pull the call tomorrow morning and call me at the first opportunity'. He also stated that it was definately not company policy to employ rude and unprofessional advisors who gave bad customer service and that it wasn't normal occurances!! I felt like a liar, until I remembered and pointed out that another manager had assured me that I would have a manager call on the complaint in question within 24hrs which was bad customer service in itself as it was unrealistic and misleading.
The e-mail I sent before I called has yet to be answered, yet another bad reflection on their service level....
I await the call........
It's nice to be back......

They had better sack all their staff then Chris!

I am sure that they were hoping that once you had slept on it, you wouldn't bother calling back. They shouldn't be allowing themselves time to look at complaints, they should be dealt with straightaway.

I wonder if he will call tomorrow? I'd like to bet he won't!

Don't give up!

Oh I won't!! The next thing is a formal letter sent registered delivery so they can't deny receiving it. I won't speak to them again over the phone if they do not call tomorrow, they've had their chance....

It's a pity they are not local to you - you could have camped out on their doorstep until they listened to you!

I await the outcome with interest!
