How much emergency money if any are you allowed to keep from your disposable income. For example if you have £175 after bills etc how much would my creditors expect and how much would I be able to keep?

If you are already in the process of looking at an IVA then your provider should have sent you some paperwork which should indicate how much has been offset against your income for things such as contingency, laundry, any sports or hobbies etc. Only then then do you get an accurate reflection of disposable income.

If you haven't directly consulted an IP yet then visit www.iva.com and speak to 2 or 3 providers, who will be happy to go through some figures and options with you.

Regards.

It really depends upon your circumstances Sherry, and will differ if you are single, married or have children. They key is to make sure that you have ample allowances for all eventualities and that you beleive the payments suggested to you based on your actual budget are affordable.
