I have been asking my IVA company months now for permission to gain finance for a second hand car, not expensive and well within my means, they seem to be dragging there heels about this and have explained I need this for work purposes, no work means no income, no income means reduced payments or no payments to them. Has any one else experienced this as iv been told they usually grant this without hesitation
Keep pestering them. It may also depend on which company you are with as to the speed of their responses.

I would hesitate to say that this sort of thing is granted without hesitation, in fact, I would go so far as to say this is not usually agreed. Has the finance company agreed to accept you ?
Speed of response is widely variable, with some firms being particularly hard to communicate with.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
