Your IVA can adapt to suit life's changing circumstances including the birth of more children. You just need to carefully plan your budget both pre and post birth to ensure that you can either continue with your IVA payments, or can suggest an alternative repayment level to creditors.
We have welcomed many babies along the way in my practice, and lost very few clients as a result.
A payment break is the usual solution by way of variation during confinement and up until work re-commences.
Once you become pregnant have a word (the earlier the better) with your Supervisor (IP) so that planning can be put into effect.

Can I just say, thank you. We were worried about trying to conceive, but concerned about leaving it too late (my husband is in his 40's whereas I am in my late 20's.).
When we have talked about it, I always feel as though we are doing something wrong. I know its silly, but as though we are going against the IVA! I think if we were at the beginning of the 5 years it would be different, but now we are over half way, it doesnt seem too bad.
I was talking to someone the other day and they told me that it would be very irresponsible of me to try for a baby while in an iva!
So I would like to say thank you for putting my mind at ease. xxx
And sorry for the long post.
Its now time to start living and to make some some wonderful memories!

There is 15 years dif between my wife and I - we have a son - you go ahead - irresponsible - whoever said that is talking rubbish. An IVA will be gone soon = a child - be with you all your lives - they are, mind you, living IVAs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Paul - not quite! We are blessed (or cursed )whichever way you look at it by a GP who is ex- military and a PP who was Chaplain to the paras - their sense of humour - the pair of them - is beyond belief- but here we would not know what to do without them. Old fashioned doctor - comes out day and night if needed - PP at the beck and call of any who need him
