My dad put my name on deeds when he was bad a few year ago only so i wouldn,t become homeless. You know what families are like the rest of family would have wanted me to move out so house could be sold when anything happens to my dad.
This will not stop you from having an IVA, however the issue will have to be disclosed and it would be better to talk to your IP specifically about this matter.
It might be an idea to consult with one, as shares in properties can be an area of some complexity, and it would be good to get some advice on this point if it is worrying you and you are thinking of proposing an IVA.
Presumably you have a 'half' share in the house? If anything happens to your father during an IVA, would you have to buy out other family members from your father's half?

So if you wanted to stay there, would you have to buy them out? Or do they live there as well?

And just having re-read that - I didn't mean it to come out like that! I meant that if you don't get married in that time, the house shouldn't be a problem!

An IVA will be better if you can do it as it will be over in far less time than it will take you to finish your DMP, and there is no guarantee that the creditors will keep freezing the interest and charges.
