Pixie, you were lucky with your trip down the Seine! We never did that!

It was a great holiday though, the welcome party at our site was always good - the sangria was lethal!

Marie, I have no idea! I think it's by Anglesey so not too far. My Dad goes there all the time and I went as a kid with all the family, but I just don't remember. My Dad is going to give us directions. I do have memories of picking snails off the tent and putting them in a big bucket. Apparently I hid the bucket in the boot of the car when we were leaving, it fell over on the way home......need I say more![:I]

Yours sounds like fun, I'd love to go on a holiday with loads of kids as I am a kid myself so I'd just want to play all the time. X

There's 5 kids really. Ages 3-11. Then there is the two men who tend to disappear..........

We all always have a good time no matter where we end up.

went to rimini on the bus a couple years later with friends that didn't seem so bad!!

1981 went to Italy on a bus! Put me off bus tours forever! I was grouchy as hell time we got there and didn't appreciate any of the beautiful scenery en route.

We once went to Mayblethorpe on a haven site. There were 25 of us, kids included.
What a nightmare!!!!!
The childrens entertainer was close to pornographic.
Out of 25 of us, 11 got ill with a sickness bug.
Mates caravan had raw sewerage dripping from the pipe outside. The small was nasty.

We were all sooooooo glad to go home.

Mablethorpe is farily close to me and has the best beach in the area, MIL's caravan is in Heacham which is also nice as you can still take the dogs on the beach.

Cat, you were lucky! I remember going on holiday with my daughter - firstly to Spain, and then the south of France. She was 1 on the 1st occasion, and two and four the other times. She wouldn't go anywhere on the beach, and as for the sea or a swimming pool - forget it!!!!!!! She used to scream, so I used to end up sitting back at the caravan with her. Not much sunbathing done, but a few bottles of wine were consumed!!!!

Hi all I've booked with Haven for next year for a half price holiday, the only downfall its out of school time but my daughter will have finished her stats so should hopefully be ok. You can book for £25 deposit but then holiday needs to be paid for by October but you can get 5 days for about £180 which I know is a lot but if you budget. Locko

Good on the people that saved, I bought a house this year and all my money went in that - I think I would be happy with camping just to get away, enjoy your breaks
