Speak with your IP and explain the reasons for turning to the credit card - is it a new credit card that you have taken out since being in your IVA? If it is you may have to explain why you needed this and you must seek a review of your I&E if you are having to resort to using credit whilst in an IVA.
If you have had emergencies that you needed to pay for, a request for a payment break to your IP may have been beneficial.
Try not to use the card again and seek your IP support to see what can be done. How much have you spent on it and can you pay it off in full ?

There is a solution for everyone .... Just need to stay positive !
You may be fine provided the credit stayed below £500. If the balance went above this you could be in breach and your IP may need to seek creditor opinion on what to do. It is unlikely that creditors would want to punish you and your IP may even be able to give retrospective permission for the credit.
My husband were with McCambridge Duffy and I so wish I went with them, he had no hassle and were so helpful, where as I find the people I am with some appear so rude and upsetting.
2 yrs ago I left an employer as they wanted me to have a new contract by working same hours for less so I left. Although my wage dropped by £400 per month I was struggling and when my yearly review came up they dropped my monthly payment, but took £1,069.00 out in one month and I couldnt live so they refunded £646.00 and was told to pay £300.00 per month and was excepted at Court by my creditors etc. I have never missed a payment always paid on time and had finished my IVA last month and they sent a letter confirming they closed the direct debit. Now yesterday they are saying I still owe the £646.00 they gave back to me and the IVA got been given refusal for closure. Also I have had PPI papers sent when they have already claimed from the PPI as I filled out the forms last year and they got £12,600.
I hope you can get this resolved Karen. The use of the credit card is easily resolved but it seems unfair to try and hit you with arrears that you were not aware of. You have complied with your obligations so the IVA should be closed down.
