Hi

this maybe a bit long winded but ill try be quick.......
I am due to complete my IVA in April 2012 yippee!!!!!! however personal cicumstances have changed being that i have now become a single parent as my ex has left home and moved out of the same town as me. i have had to decrease my hours at work and i am only working 18 hours a week, i have sorted and my income and expediture and sent off to VN and have not heard anything they need proof of how much i will be earning but i cannot provide till the end of the month untill i get paid.

what will happen if i do not have enough excess money to pay i currently pay £300 per month and with my reduced hours this is going to virtually impossible to maintain.

coming so far and now for things to go wrong i am worried.

Thanks

Hi Tracey - do you own your own home and have an equity clause for year 6? If not, I would have thought your IP could put a case forward for payments made to date finish the IVA. It would prob take 6 - 8 weeks to sort this so by then you've almost finished.

I would definitely ask - you have good circumstances

Hi
I agree with kazzafunk, speak to VN and suggest they propose a variation to your creditors and ask them to agree payments made to date as full and final settlement

Hi Tracey sorry about the circumstances your x has left you in,onward and upward for you now on,i totally agree with Andy ask your IP to call a variation meeting to conclude your IVA now ,because of your exceptional circumstances, with only 6 months left on your IVA your creditors should see sense and conclude it. Good Luck.

Be positive - you have travelled such a long way already no one will now want to see this fail ! Work with your IP to find a solution to all - hopefully they will accept payments to date and you will be debt free!

If I was a betting woman I would place one on it being accepted. You have shown you can budget for the last 4 1/2 years. Due to something unexpected you would find it hard to continue. There's little point in my view of creditors refusing.

Let us know how things go.

It appears more and more IP's are chasing for PPI payments to pay into creditor pots - I have no issue with maxmising returns to creditors via PPI payments, where mis-selling has definitely taken place, but I find it very wrong asking people to agree for PPI submissions when actually we understood what we were signing up to at the time !

Traceym - are you able to manage your IVA payments whilst they go through the PPI process ? Has your IP given you support and enabled you to reduce your payments to affordable ones ?
