Hi there, my iva completed in may 2013, I sent off ppi refunds and were all refunded into my iva. I have today received a letter from a creditor that had refunded me ppi, and that was paid into my iva, but they had made a mistake and have under calculated the original amount, they say that iam owed more money, so will I receive the full amount as my iva has now complete, and it was there mistake? Or can that amount be added into the iva, even though its been complete or about 6 months..

In theory the extra refund should be paid into the IVA --- if you have not yet had your completion certificate the IVA is still active in any event. However, even if you have had this certificate the PPI will be dealt with under the continuing trust created by the arrangement.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

That's good :-) So, it will really depend upon whether the creditor sends the refund to you or to your IP ( they will decide) ... then if your IP is interested! Some IP's do not consider it cost effective to re-open old files and distribute a relatively small sum ... others will go for the last penny!

If you dealt with your earlier PPI claims yourself I think you deserve a little something for your trouble ( after all the creditors wouldn't have lost 30% to a claims company ) .... but, of course, your IP might not agree with my line of thought!

Best of luck with it .... let us know how you get on.

Thanks for you advice and opinion, Halifax is going direct with payplan, and yes I did deal with all ppi refunds myself, as I wanted the maximum to be paid into my iva or to myself. . Will let you know my outcome. .. many many thanks.

Hi Steven,

Thank you for posting your queries.
You can contact the client support department (whom you would have dealt with throughout your IVA).
Even if you have completed we would still consider you a valued customer and be happy to help.

I hope that helps, but if you have any further questions or require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.
You can send this to my e-mail address: samuel.jepson@papylan.com if you wish.
Many Thanks
