Hi Dawn - I was at my wits end and was looking on-line and found this late one night. Plucked up the courage to email Michael Peoples and the rest is history! Everyone is very helpful and friendly and this week I have had a bit of a downer but sharing with people who know what I am going through has helped me re-focus. I'm not going to pretend it's a doddle, but I can pay everything now without having to have an overdraft or use credit cards. Much more satisfying!

Ask away with any Q's - if you are on FB, ask Jan (kallis3) for my details (put a post on the social post side of this forum). It's good to be able to interact with people off forum too!

Just to add to kazza's post about FB - one thing we don't talk about on there is debt!!!!

We set up an account with the co-op too and it took a couple of days to receive the email with details on to transfer salaries and direct debits and the cards took a couple of weeks to come in. All in all it all transferred within one pay period. We did withdraw all the salary after the mortgage etc went out of our old account and lived off the cash for the rest of that month just incase Lloyds offset it against the debt or cancelled the overdraft and left us with nothing. Did feel a little about that at the time but I wanted to make sure we could eat!!

Hi Dawn.04. I too am new to the forum. Only signed up 24 hours ago and already I am starting to feel a little more at ease. There are lots of useful information on this site but I think the main thing is I know I'm not alone. I now don't have to bottle things up like I used to, this was no good for my health and well being.
Good luck to you and I hope everything works out for you.

Gosh yeah Jan the last thing we want to do is discuss debt on there!!! I find FB a bit of light relief. Just managed to get a weeks shopping for £22 in Tescos (I'm away so it's value biscuits etc for OH!!!). Had a refund in vouchers for Argos for a TV that went wrong and just got a new TV, wireless headphones and 3 puzzles for my mum. Had to pay £2.45 balance!!!! Result

Hi

Good luck Dawn. I opened an account with the Co-op and they have been very good. They are very helpful when you ring them up to.

I totally agree countrygirl. They always seem happy and more than happy to chat and have a laugh with. I am in no way racist but after years of speaking to 'charles' or 'Jane' halfway round the world it's lovely to speak to someone who I can understand. I always got embarrassed having to ask them to repeat things.

I can only presume that the Co-op are a good company to work for if they are always so happy. I have no complaints at all with my account. I learnt early on to write all my transactions down in a book as it can take 2 or sometimes 3 days for Tescos transactions to go through.
