I would recommend Barclays if they are not a creditor, I moved to them the day that I first spoke to my IP, I was able to get an electron debit card (they later replaced with a connect) debit card and a cheque book, my rating obviously hadn't quite hit rock bottom at that stage. I have since finished my IVA and have never had a problem with them, if your account is in credit and operated normally you wont even be on their radar. Good luck with whatever decision you take.
IVA finished June 2011

He needs his own account - purely to wont be able access your individaul account for information etc (DATA PROTECTION). The new account is essential so that previous creditors are NOT aware of any account details or debit card details (automatic card transfers)
I was talking about Yorkshire Building society (completely separate) from Yorkshire bank
Most banks in fairness ARE IVA friendly as far as the voting procedure goes, but some are not so if one of their clients enters into an IVA and will withdraw banking facilities, the main culprit on that being HSBC as my colleagues have said.
You may be able to do an IVA yourself, or you may not, or may not wish to. Take advice from an impartial source, www.iva.com is a good place to start, and be sure to speak to 2 or 3 professionals to assess ALL your options before you make a final decision.
Good luck and regards.
