It's an opportunity to get some idea of a firm you are seeking to deal with. Unfortuantely feedback tends to be either all good or all bad. So you'll probably find both ends of the spectrum with no indication of the volumes of people who have no particular views either way.

It's always worth contacting at least two firms before making your decision.
