Hi Sassanchs [:D]

jest joking ... sorry that I have been away for so long, I have moved into a rented house ( mine having been taken by the OR ) and have been having a nightmare with BT trying to sort out phones etc - 15 hours on the phone and they 'tried' to charge me over £500 due to huge cock ups - ho hum .. anyway Im with Sky now .. whoo hoo.

On the BR front - well its all plodding along.. I was given an early discharge in Dec ( but told in Jan ) so I was BR for a total of 5 months and 11 days !
I'm paying my £80 a month IPA + my tax .. must remember to stop paying the tax after March ..

Still skint, still frugal ( is it 'cos I is Scottish ) having a small 'mare about my car .. looks like it will fail the MOT & no savings to get a new one or repair .

On the silly side a loan company phoned me and offered me a loan of between £200 & £5000 !! Just to help me build up my credit record .. morons ! But it did make me think .. like where did they get my phone number from .. it's not on the Insolvency site ..hmm interesting .

First night back on broad band .. so lots to gas about later.

Hi Melanie [:D]

Daughter has settled in nicely thanks - no more school for her either.. she is a school phobic .. she's not doing something called NotSchool .. education is done at home on-line - she has had broadband from the day we moved in ! ( Her own line for education)

The new house is great - strange having a bloke as a housemate, so we have 2 blokes, a 17 yr old and a 15 yr old daughters, one jayne russel, one puddy cat, and 2 snakes. Four double bedrooms, 3 storeys, garage, 4 motorbikes, and 2 cars between us. Chaos ! I do all the cooking , matey does the cleaning .. one or two minor hassles about money . Turns out housematey has more debts than me .. well ok i dont have any now .. funny old life .
Rent is £850 a month .. £425 each which is pretty good.

It'll be fun if one of us manages to get a g/friend .. but given the lack of dosh and a tendency for daughters to spend what little we have .. oh and a .. hey up sun is shining .. time to play on the bikes attitude .. it's pretty unlikely that any lass wouid put up with it .. still our ex wives and g/friends come round quite a lot to make sure the house is tidy [8D].

Glad to back to try and keep folk entertained .. [;)]

It sounds as if Channel 4 ought to make a sitcom out of you all! But seriously glad to hear that you have come out the other side and that you are back to share those experiences with others who are starting out on the journey.

Welcome back Mish, I was wondering where you'd got to!

BT don't seem to be able to cope when someone moves house (same as NPower but that's another story!) - when we moved they cut the phone at the new house off completely, told us it would take a week to reconnect so we cancelled the Sky installation and then reconnected us with 1/2 hour! We're with Sky now for phone and broadband and it's so much cheaper, and the broadband is more stable.

Good luck in the new house - I agree with Melanie that someone should make a sitcom about you!

Hi Mish
we haven't spoken before but read your earlier post re "where did they get my phone number from"

Obviously get your details from the insolvency website and then one can subscribe to www.192.com to search.

you can do a "retail" search or if you subscibe you can see if there is a Bt phone connected - births / deathe & marriages and the electoral register for each year.

if you want your privacy you need to tick a box on the elecotal forms when you get them next.

The county council actually sell your information ( 1000 people for about £25), which is better than the goverment who give it away ( loose it on disc).
