A lot of firms say it will take up to six months for closure anyway so perhaps it just got caught up at the wrong time. Not really sure.

In the time it is taking to close cases, IPs are having to do unnecessary annual reports which take just as long as to close the case - so I really don't understand things taking so long - that said I have a small backlog of cases to close right now, but none are over two months and we are getting round to them as quickly as we can.
Mel, if a case stays open so long that another annual report is necessary, does the IP have to explain in that annual report why they have not closed the case?
I wasn't aware that if the case remained open twelve months after making your last payment that there would be another annual report.
Presumably this is to make sure you've not had any windfalls in the meantime?

I'm hoping to move in with my partner once my last payment has been made in September of this year, i'm hoping this isn't going to prevent that, this is a fiasco and no mistake.

...which is currently one of the biggest arguments at present, if its still being helkd up 1 year on and you do get a windfall etc should it be liable to be paid into the IVA if its 'completed'?!?!?

It does make you wonder Artemischild to be honest, i want to move in with my partner once my IVA is finished and that i'm hoping is in September, i have waited for nearly 2 years for this to happen and don't want anything to stop it from happening so fingers crossed that all concerned will have sorted this out once and for all. xx
