Hi
I am hoping someone can advise. We are 2.5 years into an IVA and have 6 buy to let properties all included in the IVA. We have one property in negative equity which has some major drain problems and the freeholder is being difficult about claiming on insurance. Would we be able to hand back the keys and what could be the repercussions ?
Any advice would be gratefully appreciated
This something I know very little about, but it would be best to run it by your IP.
There will be other posters along that will have more knowledge than myself.
Final IVA payment made in April 2013, never ever thought we could do it or get through it but we did! X

Any shortfall may well be bound by the IVA but will affect the dividend so a variation may be required. You should speak to your IP and possibly the lender as they may have other options available to you.
