Hi, I am completely at the end of my tether with my now IVA IP.
My last payment into my IVA was April 2013 and to date my Iva still has not been completed and closed.
I have been fobbed off with so many different reasons for the time period it is causing more stress now than my initial debt problems caused when I decided to enter into an IVA.
My IVA was originally set up by Money Debt and Credit, who I found to be a great and helpful company, however they stopped dealing with IVAs and it was transferred into the hands of Grant Thornton, who I have not as yet been able to get any closure from.
I can never get to speak to anyone from closures, I'm now told another 6 months to close it and it is driving me mad.
Can someone advise what I can do next? Is there a timescale that should be adhered to? Can I complain to the regulatory body?
They don't appear to be doing anything proactively to get my case closed...

Hi Steve welcome to the forum.
I am in a similar position to you with GT along with loads more on here.
my last payment was in Feb 2013 and still waiting for my CC.
i received a chairman's report in March this year stating that my IVA is pending closure but the ability to close has been affected by the PPI issue and the PAYMEX vat issue with the tax man.
GT regularly state a 6 months closure time to issue CC so i am just waiting until next month which will be 6 months after receiving notice of pending closure and if i don't get my CC then i will be raising a formal complaint and they will find out just how much of a nuisance i can be.

I keep hearing these horror stories. I really think I would take a week off work and turn up at the IPs office and hang around till it was sorted.

This is totally unacceptable. There must be some higher authority that you can take your case to . Hopefully an expert will be along soon to advise you .There should be a legal time frame which companies must adhere to and which should be legally binding .

Hi
It is about time the so called regulators sorted this appalling problem out once and for all.
A formal complaint via GTs internal complaints procedure followed by a forma complaint to regulators
