Hi guys,
A friend of mine completed an IVA via a F&F in December 2011. He still hasn't had his certificate issued also he is still on the insolvency register. Is this normal because I had my certificate and name removed within 7 days of completion.?
Thanks

There have been delays in closures recently due to a VAT issue. Some IPs have, in the last couple of days, recommenced closing cases - which IP is you friend with?
Completion certificate received 31 March 2012.

I think he was with Blair E but then changed to Grant T?

Hi Lee,

If he is with GT then there is an ongoing problem with HMRC and VAT claims and as a result there have been delays as Vince says.

Hopefully he will get a letter soon.

All of us have slight backlogs with closing cases due to the VAT issue - I expect mine to take around two weeks to clear, but larger firms may have a larger problem of course.
