Hi don't know if you can help we have just started the final year of our iva my nan has offered to lend us the money to pay it off £7000 what are the chances of this happening ? also i have a charge on my former matrimonial home of 35% and my ex wife wants to pay me off in the next 3 months so her partner can move in with her if she pays me off after i have paid off the iva can the iva have any of the monies i get from the house ? hope that makes sense ?!!!

Hi Mark and welcome.

How lovely of your nan to offer this. Speak to your IP but I'm sure they will put this forward as a full and final.

Not sure about the charge on the home though - if the IVA is completed and you have your letter then the money should be yours.

Hopefully one of our experts will be along to advise.

Hi Mark 7 welcome to the forum

When thinking of a F&F offer, I believe offering the figure of whats left to pay is usually used as a guide line, but you need to speak to your IP for a informal chat regarding the situation.

Regarding your house situation of the 35% IVe no nowledge on the subject, but please hang on for someone whom can help x

thank you for replies my nan has very kindly offered and i think the iva company will except from my first enquiry to them but im worried about the money i will get from my former home i have been waiting 12 years and have been paying the endowments all that time as part of divorce settlement they were not put in iva now my wife wants to make a offer so her partner can buy the house and pay me off im very worried tbh i dont want to loose the money ! i was not expecting it for another 5 years so this has come as a shock
