Hi all,

I've not been on for a while because I've had a lot of thinking to do & decisions to make.

After my meeting with Citizens Advice & reading through all the info they gave me, it does look like BR is my best option. I've been applying for jobs like nobody's business but haven't even had a reply.

I intend to apply for JSA as soon as I'm redundant on April 3rd which won't leave me with any money for my IVA.

I understand that I need to fail my IVA before I can apply for BR so I only need to miss 1 more payment which I will do at the end of this month. Does anyone know how long it takes for a Certificate of Non-Compliance to come through?

My IP says that I still owe £27,000 to all my creditors so I'm back to where I started 2 years ago. I feel so sh*tty about the fact that I've wasted 2 years & am scared to go BR but I've not had a good nights sleep since I found out I was losing my job. I've been going out of my mind with worry about going to court etc...

My parents & partner say that I will feel better when it's all over.

I know that BR is NOT an easy option but I feel as though I've nowhere else to turn now.

Thanks to everyone on here who has given me advice & support on my other posts.

H x

If you have decided not to make any more payments into the IVA, there ought to be no reason why your IP cannot provide you with the Certificate of Non-Compliance at an earlier stage by mutual agreement.

Have a chat with them to see what they say.
