That's brill Andy. I'm actually just off the phone from First Direct and they said I have to have a clear credit record, and that as long as the IVA isn't on there it should be fine. They said they ask about it and that as long as it is over 6 years ago #128077;Can't stand the waiting - I have to wait til April to check the IVA and accounts have been removed.

That's brilliant Wendi
I was very downhearted when I first started making phone calls regarding a mortgage but once I spoken to First Direct I was feeling elated. They did a soft credit search over the phone which came back absolutely fine and then it all just rolled along nicely.

Cheers Andy. I was gutted when I was originally tol I'd have to wait another 2.5 years. I might also speak to nationwide
