Recently completed my via and received my completion certificate... completed by full and final settlement. Today received a very worrying letter from the royal bank of Scotland who were in my via to say they haven't been able to agree to a suitable repayment plan? What the hell does this mean? My debt is settled! Surely they can't chase me for more payments? Trying to get through to freeman Jones but constantly on hold and panicking! Surely the full and final settlement stands? Funds have been payed and certifiable has been received. Any help??

It sounds like a simple error by RBS so try and email Sarah for confirmation. Her details are in the experts section.

They're ringing the company now! I've only ever had 1 account with rbs and it was included in my iva! This stress was supposed to be gone with the f&f settlement!

Hi Charlee

Seems your stress keeps going and going, email Sarah direct. Did you have an email address for anybody else who was dealing with your F&F I had one for Samantha, who was extremely helpful

I called up and finally got through and spoke to someone called Matthew! Just so angry because I don't have any records of any account with the number they've sent me! Only had one account with rbs and that was part of the iva! Never had any contact about this account before! Just funny that I've settled and all of a sudden I'm being contacted directly again asking for money! I thought the iva was legally binding! Once that final settlement was paid and I got my certificate it was all done and complete! Got that instant rush of panic that I had back when I got into debt and I wasn't expecting that ever again!! Freeman Jones said they'd contact the company and get back to me with what they say! Just don't get where the hell that came from! Panic well and truly set it! Got out all my documents and I have nothing with that account number! :-(

Hopefully FJ will do as say and sort it out for you, like you I thought once complete life would start again with no creditor hassle. Try not to panic and hopefully FJ will not keep you waiting too long.

Hi Charlee

Creditors can take a little time to update their records but I can appreciate your concern.

The team are dealing with this for you today and will contact you back.

I hope this helps put your mind at rest.

Thank you
Sarah

Every debt I had was put into the iva! Every single one was declared and all my cards were subsequently cut up! One by one after they were put in! That's why I'm confused where it's come from! :-/ the letter is from the royal bank of Scotland and the amount is what they asked back from that card including interest! I'm sure I wouldn't have been sitting on that amount for the last 6 years and know nothing about it! I have all my debt letters organised from the date I started to struggle! And the account number matches none of my records! :-/
