Mrs Wizz has received a letter from the Income Tax office which neither of us understands ... she either owes or does not owe £380 due to a payment error. I have tried ringing the office to no avail ... all we get is a robot designed to keep you listening for 10 minutes at 9 pence a minute without recourse to a human ... I've been on their website with similar results. Seems we aren't worthy enough to talk to a person. Does any one have a contact number I can use which is manned a PERSON. I have tried emailing but their online forms don't allow for specific questions.

Thank you

Sorry Wizz, when I had a problem with the tax office I had to keep phoning them and holding until I spoke to someone.

I hope you can get this sorted out. If you can't get through it might be worth writing to them and sending the letter Recorded Delivery.

That's what hubby phoned and he got through straight away.

Thanks for that Kali ... I'll try it tomorrow ... I don't have that one.

As an aside , have I upset you in anyway?

Avoid ringing between 9-10.30 and 3-4pm as these are peak hours for 'mums' to be ringing in !
