Hello
I am currently trying to sort out an IVA, the debt is all in my name and it is all unsecured but they want to include my boyfriends income aswell, but none of the debt is in his name. We do live together, Please help? Thank you
The IP is probably looking to see if your partner is contributing to the household expenditure pro-rata in order that you are offering the correct amount of disposable income for the creditors.

It's nothing to worry about it's as the previous poster said just to ensure you are both paying towards the household costs this then shows your true position with regard to disposable income.

Can I suggest that you ring one or two more firms?
Visit www.iva.com for a list of companies and reviews. Give one or two a ring, you will get free and impartial advice about all the options open to you.
Make sure that you are comfortable with who you chose, five years is a long time to be stuck in an unworkable relationship.

Hi
I think most companies will take joint income and expenditure, however if your debts were built up over a period before you lived with your boyfriend then he should be able to keep his share of any disposible income.
