Hello, these are my first forum questions!

Here goes:-

I'm going down the bankruptcy route and wondered:-

1. When I have agreed with the OR the sum to pay the creditors each month - how does my money actually get to them if I have all my accounts frozen?
2. Do I need to include Child Benefit as part of my income (bearing in mind it is not actually a benefit for me but for my son)?
3. Looks like I'll be allocated an OR from St Albans - does anyone have any experience of them?

Cheers.

Hi sue and welcome to the forum

You will pay by standing order, as your bank account will either be freed or you will need to open a new one.

You do include child benefit, but this is usually then excluded from any income payments order on the basis that this money ought to be spent on your son.

I have no direct experience of dealing with the OR in St Albans, but they generally have a consistent approach from office to office.

Hope everything turns out well for you in the end!
