Hi russ, glad to hear you have got your proposal! Mine is also for 12 months, I asked Sue the question and she advised the same as Tina, that if it is accepted then time is needed for the creditors to provide their final balances etc and for payments to be made, although it did state in mine that the supervisor can also close it before the 12 month (not in them words), I think its just good practice to give the whole process time to finalise accurately, I'm sure Sue will explain properly in her reply to you.
We sent our proposal s back on Monday and have just got a date through today for the creditors meeting which is 28th Feb, it's actually hitting home now and im getting quite nervous!

Someone hasn't amended the standard letter - so apologies from us for that oversight, but clearly you won't need to send a first payment if your IVA is based on a lump sum Russ. I will make Sue aware of tomorrow morning - although generally she does not work from the office on Fridays so may not pick up her e-mails.

In noth cases we will need to fully investigate PPI mis-selling claims, but hopefully this cam all be resolved within the 12 months window.
