Just dropping by to say I'm doing okay. Hospital appt was a bit of a unpleasant experience, though I've had my Birthday since my last post, and have been spoiled rotten. This is going to be a winter of staying with friends and family as much as I can, don't feel particularly safe being on my own at home much these days, and my docs think it's a good idea to be kept an eye on. I agree. The long process of preparing for surgery continues, and all I care to think about is that. Nothing else. Absolutely nothing else, morning, noon and night. And food, I'm using my juicer like a fiend, and filling up on vitamins, and all things nice.So no one ask me about what else is happening, because it doesn't matter and is in hand.I'm now 38 and I am so wanting to make it to 39 and beyond. Regards to all.

Belated Happy Birthday Quark, glad you have been spoiled.

I agree that you should have people with you.

Any idea about when your surgery is going to be?

You'll make it Quark!!!!

Thanks Jan, I'm just about to lower myself into a Molton Brown bubble bath, which was one of my treats. I had a very busy birthday week, last Tuesday I was sat on a cliff top overlooking the North Sea munching into a picnic, then on the Norfolk Broads supping a beer and stuff in the evening. Home on Thursday, hospital again on Friday, Birthday weekend with friends just gone. From what the consultant said on Friday I'm now just having the few final bits done as a work up, before I go on the list, it's all very vague, and complicated. I have a lot of things going on with my heart that needs totally getting control of, otherwise it will be a problem during and after. The aim is to be totally symptom free afterwards, so atrial fibrillation needs to gotten rid of, blood pressure completely under control, and my mind totally settled. Whence all the good food and stuff. My weight has shot up !!!

Thanks Lesley, it was a beautiful week really. I shall need a good few days on the sofa this week mind you, and plenty of early nights, or earlier nights !!! I'm usually off and dribbling away by 8pm and up at 2am doing the whole wee wee business and "angina" hour, though plowing through boiled eggs and soldiers at 6, yum. Bit random, but the blooming Parakeets have arrived again, such a massive racket, they are totally mental and fly into walls, windows and each other, screaming their beaks off all the while. Random, and somewhat " Twin Peaks ".

Me too Jan, all of them done in one fell swoop. It doesn't seem to have been going on a long time, it has, and it only takes one more emergency visit to A&E in the back of a nee naw, and I can be transferred over. Of course I don't want that to happen, and want to be as fit as possible for the next assessment. A state of limbo I'm afraid. But hey at least I'm not taking my last breaths eh ?
