FD - I really don't think it's that bad honey. At least you have done it for reasons that can be explained. Anyone dealing with cancer affecting someone close would be at their wits end. You need to stop beating yourself up about it.

Yes you missed a payment. Is it the 1st payment missed? I'm sure if you have explained the circs then they will try to help you. They are human after all. You've come so far through the IVA it will be silly to just let it all go now. As you say you can make it up and maybe if they are sympathetic it would be better to add it to the end so you don't struggle in the next few months.

If you are needing extra money to travel etc, they may be able to reduce your payments by up to 15% until things are sorted.

Please please don't worry - I thought you'd killed someone!!!

There is no point in worrying and making yourself ill when your sister needs you to be strong.

I am sure that if you have put it all down in an email and tried to explain just how bad you feel, it won't be a big deal. You may get a rap on the knuckles but I'm sure you are big enough to take that. If you are proposing to repay asap then even better.

But...don't overstretch yourself. 1 more payment at the end would be better than making things hard, especially if you are incuring extra expense.

Hope you feel better now for getting it off your chest.

Let me know on here how things go will you?

Got to go to sleeps now as I have to be up for work early and my damned back is giving me a few probs so gonna hit the valium.

Take care.
x

Hi there FD - lovely to hear from you again, but I'm so sorry to hear about your sister. [:(]

Listen, don;t beat yourself up about the missed payment. Okay, you didn't go around it the right way, but you had a lot on your mind and still have. At least you are addressing the situation and I'm sure your IP will work with you to get back on track.

Please keep your chin up and let us know how you are xx

FD - if you need to miss a payment that is ok. You just need to keep the company informed as to why you need it.

I am sure Mel is fine - you won't be the first this has happened to and you won't be the last!!
