Hello i am new here my question is: how long does creditors meeting to be set up? I have returned and signed proposal last monday 5th march and no meetingdate yet.
It is usually 16 days from receipt of the proposal back with the ip. Give them a ring to make sure they have received it.
Which company are you with?

Thank u all for ur replies... I have an email confirmation they have recieved it and on the process of arranging creditors meeting.... Sorry i am very worried thats all... My main creditors are barclays & barclaycard ... Anybody experience with barclays & barclaycard voted yes?
Hi Heathy, I'm not far behind you, I am at the point where I have gone through everything on the phone and am waiting for the paperwork.
In the mean time I have applied for a new bank account.
It's a good feeling setting mind to purpose rather than just stressing out over the month ahead.
I am a bit worried when it comes to not making payments to my creditors though, i have kept up so far but that is why the rest of the month is a struggle.

I applied for mine on the 17th July and the creditors meeting was approx 6 weeks later ..... it really depends on the level of detail required and clarification of creditors etc.....it will soon come around !

There is a solution for everyone .... Just need to stay positive !
barclays and barclaycard are my main creditors also and i have the same worry but the guys on here are so supportive and try and put your mind at rest. there seem to be lots of cases where theyve said yes so heres hoping
Barclays voted yes for me, Jay, don't worry about stopping payments, we had never missed a payment, ever when we first made the call to start the IVA process and I was so scared to stop payments, but I did and we had 6 months of no payments to anyone before we got our creditors meeting sorted and no one took any action during that time, we just had loads of calls and letters that's all, I would really seriously consider saving your money to build up a bit of a contingency to get you off to a good start when your IVA is approved
Thank you for positive feedbacks i have already miss 2 payments with barclays so in ARREARS at the moment really scared everytime i open my letters... I hope i will get meeting date asap and IVA to be approve fingers cross and goodluck to me and to u all who are in the same boat as me xxx
Don't worry about the letters or any phone calls Heathy. The call centres are bullies and I'd just put the phone down if you don't want to speak to them or just refuse to confirm your security details.
The letters you can forward on to your IP. Shouldn't be long until you get that date now.
You'll get all the support you want on here - we know exactly how you feel!!!
