You can mention the name, but just don't post a link!

I'm glad it all seems to be sorting itself out, please keep us informed as to how things are going - we will worry about you!

Hi soashamed70

I am sure your husband will come round but it does take time. I tried to protect mine but realise now that was a mistake, hindsight is a wonderful thing. The only people we have told about my IVA is our 2 daughters and they took it really well. As far as I know neither of them have credit cards so some good has come out of it.
We have been unable to discus it with anybody else. Hubby and I do snap at each other more but shortage of money makes you do that I think.

I am sure you will work through it.

No one outside of the immediate family know anything of our problems. Our daughter knows we are short of cash, and I am trying to impress on her the importance of not getting into debt but I sometimes wonder if I'm getting through!

Step kids know all about it as they have similar problems!

The other forum was on moneysaving expert - good lord, if you read that it would be enough to tip you off the edge - its very negative - I've stopped myself from looking at it

My stepkids have no idea and never will from me - their Mum's side are very money orientated and very opposed to credit and debt of any manner (quite rightly) - so this would be horrific - besides they are too young!!

Thank you evryone - you really have helped me through the last 2 days

Thank you

x

Hi
My oldest daughter is earning quite good money now as a nurse she has bought her car on finance but im pretty sure she does not have a credit card. Youngest daughter has a little boy and lives with her fiance, they are struggling I know. I feel guilty that we can help them anymore. We did do quite a lot for them which is some of the trouble, driving lessons etc. Never mind perhaps things will be different one day.

That is a negative site - hopefully people who read that will also find us and realise that IVA's are good.

The only reason the stepkids know is because they are both in DMP's and we have tried to advise them.

Other than that it's just something discussed between ourselves and my friends on the forum.

My husband and and I only know of our IVA apart from my forum friends it's not discussed outside my house. My daughter knows we're in debt as I'm disclosing more and more a little at a time but not ready to go the whole hog as yet.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
