Hi I'm new to the site and so glad I found you. We're 2 1/2 years in IVA. Most of debt owed to HBOS, with mortgage with Birmingham Midshires (part of HBOS), how will their merger affect IVA's? Getting a bit worried as only just begun to manage IVA properly, (had depression from before it as HBOS made me redundant when 6 months pregnant).

Also I'm told IVA due to finish in March 2010, with review for equity, if none will only last another 12 months (is that right ,as most people on this site had 5 years + 1)

Hi Mrs Purple and welcome to the forum

I don't think it will affect you at all to be honest - there is bound to be some internal restructuring but this is unlikely to affect existing accounts.

With regard to the equity in your property it does depend upon the wording contained within your IVA proposals and/or chairiman's reports. If you can post the details one of us will be able to help you further.
