missfit, what an awful week of it your have had! You do seem to be having more than your fair share of bad luck.

I know nothing I can say will help, but things will get better, you've got each other and you can gain strength from that. The creditors can be ignored for now.

Don't worry about the long winded post - you do that whenever you like if it helps you to feel better.

thanks kallis3
in a way i can see the funny side of it but it just seems that if it can go wrong it will at the moment, i know that it just sees to be all the things you would normally deal with ,with not a second thought but it just seems 1000 times worse when you are down

I suppose one way to look at at as well is that things can't get a lot worse - they can only get better!

Hello Missfit
So sorry you are having a bad time & nothing I can say will make things better. Though I do know what you are going through.
During the 1st 3 months of our IVA our car was due its MOT - prior to this we knew it needed new wheels to the front & the exhaust was very noisy! So we did this needed work before putting it through its mot & service. Only to find it failed horrible on MOT & cost a further 450quid to fix - only had 200 saved for it & had to borrow the rest. Made me feel awful & doomed to fail my IVA. I had to borrow 250 of my parents which I still have not paid back.
We too have been on the verge of running out of gas (prepayment meter) & sat with blankets on a January night with kids watching telly & only tea & toast for supper! - But if you can get through it till pay day, you will learn & feel better from it & proud that you got to payday. Its not a place to be - but if you can get through it - it educates you alot. Its hard but payday will be here soon x
Final IVA payment made in April 2013, never ever thought we could do it or get through it but we did! X

the hardest part at the moment is that hubby is on short time and we are literally living on his wages of £250 a week . out of that we pay rent food petrol for his and my car, god knows how we have been doing it but some how we have all i can say is roll on the 9th april when i will finally get paid and then hopefully things well be better, the only thing that comes out of all this is that we know that we will survive whatever is thrown at us i hope

Oh missfit,
What an awful week you have had. As said at least it can't get worse so it must get better. On good thing is summer is approaching so the gas should last longer without the need for heating. I know how miserable it is to struggle, I have just gone through two months of having no hat water - I spoke to my IVA company about this and other shortfalls and got my months payments reduced allowing me to get the boiler fixed.
I'm sending you positive vibes for a better week this week,
Chin up, things will get better,

WE do just seem to exist until pay day comes around then its great for 2 weeks then the last 2 weeks of the month we think we will be ok but something always comes up,be it school trips, car repairs, dog vet bills etc etc.
I just want a month or 3 where nothing goes wrong and we can get something back into the emergency kitty!!!
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.
Continuing to rebuild our credit worthiness.

I'm praying that we have nothing nasty creep up on us as we have no contingency fund at the moment.

At the moment we are managing, but who knows what is round the corner?

Just caught this one again.

At least it's a start missfit! If you plant some spuds as well, you could always make bubble and squeak!
