Hi,

The claims are still ongoing and I've not heard of any that have been settled yet.

Which company are you with?

Why don't IVAs just reclaim the VAT ?

We received a call from HMRC last week to confirm that they are processing Varden Nuttall's VAT claim and will be issuing a cheque in the next week or so.

I would assume that the claims are handled in the order they were received by HMRC so the other IP's should start to get confirmation soon (if they haven't already).

Seems like HMRC are finally starting to get the ball rolling which will be a great relief to many!

Certainly will be.

As a matter of interest, when did VN put the claim in? I know Mel put hers in last September.

We put our claim in to HMRC in early September 2011. I think that most companies did this around the same time.

Was it just one claim that each firm put in,not lots of small claims for individual cases?

it is one claim which upon receipt the IP must then break down to an amount for each individual case.
