I agree with The Major in that you do need to at least chat with a couple (or few) other firms to compare advice and to see what they suggest. Often times when you approach a company the first time you do not know what questions to ask until you get a "feel" for the situation.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Thank you for your help The Major. Do you think my debts are too low to be doing an IVA? I really don't know where to turn. My creditors meeting is on the 15th of this month and all I want is a resolution for this. In the opinion of anyone, what would be the best outcome and solution??
I agree with The Major and Foggy - I really feel you should speak to at least a couple more companies. You may find that you are more comfortable with the one that you are already with but at least you've then covered all bases. I went with the first company I went with and it was a mistake - everything worked out ok in the end but I should have taken more advice.
Good luck and please don't forget that we are all here for you x
I also agree with The Major and Foggy, talk to a few other companies. Don't let your debt problems contribute to your depression, they can always be sorted out. Have you been to see your doctor? I have also suffered from depression and having resisted medication for months I am so much better with it. Please never feel alone, there is always someone on here day or night, and they are the most wonderful and supportive bunch. Use us!!
I have been to the doctor, and in fact have been off all summer due to suicidal thoughts. Been on my medication for years and I wonder if this is how I let everything get messy with money. I bought from catalogues and took payday loans too. Maybe to find some temporary happiness. x
