Sliced Bread is 50 years old today ... I can still remember a time we didn't have sliced bread on the shelves of our little shop. So anyhoo ... I thought ... why not a little bread gigglette ...

Wee Geordie's mother sent him to the shop to get a loaf of bread. Coming home from the shop, he was swinging the loaf of bread in one hand with the other hand in his pants pocket.

Along come Father Connelly and he thought to himself, "This is a good opportunity to say something from the bible to Wee Geordie."

He walks up to Geordie and said, "I see that you have the Staff of Life in one hand Geordie, what do you have in the other?"

Wee Geordie replies, "A loaf of bread Father."

I love the smell of warm bread out the oven, its one of the few perks of my job, soft rolls, tiger bread, sea salt baguettes the smell in the morning is awesome!! But do you know what pains me, we pack the bread nice and warm so customers can get it fresh then some idiot asks us to slice it!! ggggrrrrr!! makes me angry all that hard work and they want it sliced, we explain its that fresh the slicer will tear it apart, but no they want it sliced, so we hand them a squashed sliced loaf back makes me really angry!!

But the unanswered question is......what was the best thing BEFORE sliced bread???
If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else’s, we’d grab ours back.

Funds paid to date accepted as F&F 16th August 2013, the wait for completion begins.
