It's also wrong when they seek your permission to disclose personal details to a third party (EIC), you refuse to give permission but they go ahead and disclose your information anyway.

I think there should be some doubt on the legitimacy of bringing in a third party - who will finacially benefit from the introduction - without reference or the approval of both creditors and debtors.
I do wonder if any Court would see such an arrangement as being fair, competitive and open - in particular when the threat of delay or failure of the 'contractual' IVA is used to force debtors to comply and deal with a single organisation.
I also think there is a very thin line between the tactics being used in pressurising people to make claims both for PPI and bank charges and that of the debt collection agencies we all sought to stop by entering an IVA.
Does the threat to potentially fail an IVA and cause bankruptcy somehow become more acceptable because it comes from an IP managing a debt management arrangement.
Perhaps there is a need for a legal test case on the rights and responsibilities of Debt Management Companies including IVA and IPs - when and where their contractual responsibilities are defined and when and how they seek to amend these with the people - creditors and debtors - they ultimately work for.
We all endure the guilt and the stigma of debt - paying heavily for our mistakes - if this is then used by some of those who we seek to help us to cause us further distress - for their finacial gain- then there must be doubt on the credibility and fairness of the arrangement both for creditors and debtors..

I really do believe that before too long someone who has had an IVA and been forced to reclaim ppi they know wasnt mis-sold is going to be able to reclaim off the reclaim firms/IVA firms for being forced into making false claims.
Someone high up in the industry has seen an opportunity to make extra cash out of people in IVA's and every other firm has jumped onto the bandwagon, damaging many a reputation on the way.
