Brilliant Kazza and it will be a great thing for others on here to know how smoothly the bankruptcy process goes. Did the judge ask if you had taken any advice or remark on rejected IVA?

Great news and thanks for sharing how your experience was, we have still got to wait until 25th of November for our hearing. But it`s great when people like yourself report back on how you fared, good luck for the future.

Thanks everyone

Michael - the judge did comment on the fact that we tried for an IVA. He said it was good to see that we had tried to pay back some of the debt and that the BR is due to the creditors rejecting the IVA. I think that trying for the IVA in the first place definately went down well with that particular judge.

Well done Kazza. I simplisticly assumed that when you had to go to court you would be in a court room with all the malarky, so pleased you got through it xxx
7 year IVA completed in December 2016 - there is light at the end of that tunnel

[:0]Jan[:D]...I'll toast you with water kazza[:D].....surprising (or not) how many others were at the court with you, just shows we're not in this alone.

You've done the worse bit Kazza, just be prepared for the phone interview and don't be afraid to challenge or ask questions.

there were about 12 others there today going BR. They were all "normal" people aswell, not businesses etc. one lady was there who had been in her IVA for 3 1/2 years and for some reason was going BR now, I didn't like to ask why!! There was one gentleman there who was on his 3rd BR!!!!! WOW, I never want to do this again let alone 3 times. Don't get me wrong it hasn't been as bad as I imagined but its not something I want to go through again in a hurry

mmmm I can imagine the lady has not been able to / creditors have not allowed her IVA to continue, but as for the 3rd time man???????

I'm like you, found the whole experience completely nerve wracking, but not as daunting as I imagined. Anyway you got through it and can now focus on the future! [:)]
