Hello,

I have been offered full time employment which could possibly start after the New Year. The wages aren't great but will help. My question is will I have to pay half of my earnings after childcare etc or will I need to do a new review?

Thanks in advance

Hi there
Please remember when completing a new Income and Expenditure form - that apart from stating what your new salary/income will be, the important thing to also remember is any increase costs that may occur - like petrol, parking or public transport, together with additional childcare costs - food at work. It is so easy to forget about these items, but very important to ensure you include them at the outset of reviewing your Income & Expenditure. Also another item to check is that if your income/number of hours worked is increased will your tax credits need amending? a quick phone call to the tax credit helpline should help here, though they may want to know details of what your new salary will be. Congratulations on the job offer though

Sorry I have been off line for a while, thanks for all of the replies. I didn't think of extra costs that will arise besides childcare, thanks for those other things to consider Melanie.

Hope you have all had a great xmas.
All the best for the New Year
