Three mates going.
£200 each for a ticket, £300 each to hire the campervan they`ve chosen, £80 to park it....God knows how much in beer tokens, how I wish I was with `em.
U2 headlining on friday night...at least I`ll get it on the telly.

My daughter would love to go to a festival but I'm too old now and I need a few luxuries around, my hubby would love U2 though, he's a big fan and always wanted to see them in Ireland. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Looking at the pictures of the mud on the Daily Mail website I'm glad I'm not there.

Great when you go -- PITA when you have to live around it.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Sunny and upto 30 degrees forcast for Friday onwards.
Anyhows, a few scoops and a pair of wellies and the mud soon seems insignificant once the bands are on.

I think the mud and the rain is all part of the festival 'feel'. Not that I've ever been to one but my children have. x

lesley, you`re never too old for a festival...especially Glastonbury.
The music at Glasto` crosses all tastes and ages...You`d love it, honestly.

You wouldn't catch me near chemical toilets or in a small tent regardless of who was there!

Daughter has done Download a couple of times and loved it but it's much too basic for me.

I would have loved to have been there the year Bruce Springsteen headlined, but as much as I love him it would have only happened if I could have had a luxury Winnebago!

I would have loved to have seen Muse there but I'm the same as you Skip - luxury all the way!!

Did you see MUSE last year Jan ? On the telly that is, utterly amazing. My bucket list would definitely contain Glasto on it. My mates have all been, including a real lady, who unfortunately crouched down to water the grass and slid down the bank, and almost into the goo. Glasto over for her.

I'm approaching 40 and on my list of 'Things to Do before you are 40', going to Glastonbury was up there at the top!

However, reality is I cant afford to go. Will have to wait until my IVA finishes in 4 yrs time.

My neighbour has gone with 27 of her friends and her ticket was £195, plus £40 for parking the car.

I shall watch it on the TV instead and have a few beers at the same time. Perhaps if I put the TV in the garden and put a pair of wellies on I might feel part of the atmosphere!
