My F&F IVA was approved last August and it finished early this year. I have spent the last 4 weeks contacting my creditors and asking them to update my credit files. To be fair to most of my creditors they have done this very quickly. I called Abbey this morning about opening a basic account with them and to my surprise not only have they given me a new account but with a overdraft as well (NOT THAT I AM GOING TO USE IT). To continue this good fortune I contacted a mobile phone store to see if I could get a cheaper dear on a new contract (I had tried at the start of the year and been declined) and I passed the credit check without any problems. I have also been advised my a Mortgage broker that I should be able to get a mainstream mortgage later this year when my fixed rate ends.
Now this may seem as if I am taking up credit again. I am not. The reason I am posting this is for anyone who had or is doing a F&F IVA to get their credit files updated once the IVA is finished as life will be a bit smoother once this is done eg changing gas provider or broadband. So many thing need a credit check these days you dont have to borrow to need a ok credit history.
IVA completed

That is fantastic which way now, it must be sooo good to be able to be back on top of things. Even if you will never use credit again, its kind of being back on the scene and an 'equal' again, right??? Although I would never want to consider credit again, I know my rating is trashed for some years to come. One day perhaps my file will be repaired.

Good luck with everything.

I asked God for an answer, I have to live with his reply.
